Beyond its prehistoric significance, Dmanisi also served as an important commercial hub during Georgia's medieval era, providing a layered historical narrative.
- Tsugrugasheni Church (13th Century)The tour concludes with a visit to the Tsugrugasheni Church, located just 10 kilometers from Bolnisi. This cross-domed masterpiece is celebrated for its intricate stone carvings around the windows and arches, as well as fragments of stunning frescoes that once adorned its walls.
